We had a great time playing some Christmas classics and featuring Willy Ward as a vocalist walking in a winter wonderland, and Wes Eccleston as Narrator for Twas' the Night Before Christmas. The whole second half we challenged ourselves playing variations of Tchajkovsky's Nutcracker. From classical excerpts, to a jazz orchestration of Duke Ellington's suite featuring premiere saxophonist Campbell Ryga, and finally an encore with the Trans Siberian Orchestra version. This concert challenged us, featured many soloists amongst our members. So much fun.

We shared our stage with two sets of guests. Friday night the South Kamloops Secondary Senior Jazz Band was led by Michelle McRae. The Saturday Matinee our guests were the Brock Middle Sr. Jazz Band led by Jarrett Schill. Both groups were fundraising for national competitions. It was our pleasure to celebrate the festive season with our audience and give a forum to Kamloops musical talent.
